Child health and wellbeing

The goal shall be attained by empowering communities and households to provide early child stimulation and learning, prevent and manage childhood and maternal illnesses. This involves strengthening health systems, improving access to safe drinking water, enhancing awareness of HIV/AIDS prevention, establishing linkages, advocating for change, and building the capacity of health workers, management structures, and Village Health Teams (VHTs) to actively take part in improving health in their communities .

It will further involve integrating comprehensive health community outreach initiatives, facilitating effective referrals and linkages, fostering multi-sectoral collaborations, and incorporating innovative technologies to improve healthcare delivery

Community Efforts for Child Empowerment (CECE) is a registered non-profit making and Child focused Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) constituted in June 2009, with its Secretariat based in Kiboga Town Council. It is an umbrella organization, working with six (6) communities (Masodde, Butemba, Kiyuni, Wakiso, Gayaza and Kinabwe) located in the districts of Kyankwanzi, Kiboga, Wakiso and Luwero respectively.
