The program adopts an inclusive child-friendly school model, integrating child-centered and teacher-centered methods to tailor learning according to children's needs, abilities, and interests. The aim is to engage children more and sustain their interest in learning. A concerted effort, in collaboration with district line departments and key stakeholders, will emphasize skills-based education, focusing on relevant learning and essential life skills. The strategy involves creating safe and inclusive environments that encourage active participation and decision-making by all children, fostering their leadership capacities through school clubs. Teacher training across various disciplines, with a focus on early grade reading, child management, inclusive education, and the promotion of cultural values, is a critical aspect. Parents, represented by Parents Teachers Associations (PTA) and School Management Committees (SMC), will play a central role, with their skills enhanced to actively participate in their children’s learning and mobilize support in areas like school feeding.
